Client Testimonials

The venue was a huge hit with our guests.  The Baroque Chapel was stunning for our champagne reception, the stained glass windows drew many admiring comments and when the doors to the Great Hall opened there was a huge WOW factor.  The feedback from some people was that our ball was preferred to other balls because our venue was better.  One such lady, a regular ball attendee, pronounced that the RHK blew her mind.  She felt that the popular hotels around town lack originality and authenticity which the RHK has in bucket loads.

Barnardos Spirit of Christmas was held in the Royal Hospital Kilmainham in 2008.  The attention to detail, care, responsiveness and star service shown to us from the moment we booked our event in the Royal Hospital Kilmainham was phenomenal, it seemed as if nothing was too much trouble.  All the staff provided a high level of service over the celebrations to us and our guests.  We look forward to returning to the Royal Hospital Kilmainham in the future.

"It was a very good experience working with the RHK team. Catherine O' Byrne and all her colleagues were wonderful.....the ambience, historic surroundings, the grounds, and ease of movement even though the opening of the Forum on End of Life in Ireland attracted over 350 people, made for a wonderful day. Participants were delighted and many remarked on the grandeur and flexibility of the facility. We expect that first-time visitors will want to come back to visit the gardens and the museum."

Paul Murray, Forum Co-ordinator, Irish Hospice Foundation

Feedback from the team on the event at the Royal Hospital Kilmainham was very positive.  All – without exception – were delighted with the venue and especially with the co-operation, efficiency and courtesy they received from you personally. The event itself was all about our RNLI volunteers and the quality of the venue added considerably to their enjoyment of the day.

The Royal Hospital Kilmainham is our preferred location for large meetings because it has all the functional things one might look for in a venue; close transport links; ample parking; a spacious main meeting hall with smaller breakout rooms and lunch space.  It also has the added element of a wonderful historic environment, not to mention the friendly, courteous, helpful conference staff who always ensure the day runs as smoothly as possible.

Never had we an event which went so well and I would like to congratulate Catherine O’Byrne and her staff for their friendliness, courtesy and professionalism .

I realise that an event like this looks easy but this easiness does not happen by accident and it obviously comes from an organisation which is well run and a team which has pride in the service it provides.

Well done and thank you

In our business choosing the right venue is critical. The Royal Hospital Kilmainham is one of the best venues that Dublin has to offer. Over the years we have operated many different events in RHK; and all have been hugely successful. It is a pleasure to work with Catherine O’Byrne and her team.

Brian Murray, Director, Aspects of Ireland

I have worked with the Royal Hospital Kilmainhan for a number of years and its versatility as a location for all type of events from business focused conferences to a sparkling location for a gala dinner, makes it a very unique venue in Dublin. Catherine O’Byrne and her team could not be more helpful in dealing with all requests and questions for planning of an event and are always onsite to ensure the smooth running on the day.

… The 02 Event was an outstanding success due in no small part to the excellent co-operation and assistance we received in the planning stages combined with the professional and efficient support by RHK staff  at the event itself.
EuroEvents work in many venues in Dublin and countrywide and I can say without hesitation that the RHK team is second to none.
We will continuously recommend the RHK to our clients and we look forward to working with Catherine O’Byrne again.

. . .  I would like to say what a great success our MISSOC Meeting and Gala Dinner was.  The RHK looked splendid on the evening of the Gala Dinner and was much appreciated by all the guests who attended.
I would particular like to thank Catherine O’Byrne for all her help and also the very professional manner in which the meeting room was set up and the courtesy and good humour of all the RHK staff during the two days.

MCI Ovation has managed a very wide range of events in the Royal Hospital Kilmainham ranging for gala dinners for 100 guests to large scale parties of 1000 guests. The flexibility of the venue is second to none, we have also found the venue to be very cost effective as minimal decor due to the fact that the venue is so well kept and its existing unique features.

The stands of service are one of the highest in the country.

The Jack & Jill Children’s Foundation is a registered charity supporting families of children with severe neurological conditions and life limiting illnesses. Each year we host a Family Day at the Royal Hospital Kilmainham –  kindly donated to us by An Taoiseach, Brian Cowen.

It is the one day of the year where parents meet other parents in a similar situation to their own, it is also a great day out for the healthy siblings of our babies and for many it is the only family day out they get each year, as all the special needs of the babies are catered for. With magic shows, bouncy castles face painters and much more the day has always proved a great success.

Of course none of this would be possible without the help of Catherine O’Byrne – Event Manager and the OPW who are always welcoming and helpful.  They go out of their way to make our families feel at home – nothing is ever too much trouble.

The venue itself is perfect for our families, allowing space for them to wonder at their leisure in a stress free environment.

For many years we have formed a great relationship with Catherine and the team and look forward to yet another year of organising our day of fun.
