Client Testimonials

"We had an absolutely marvellous evening at RHK.  Catherine and all the RHK staff did a terrific job.  Nothing was too much trouble, and everyone was most helpful.   In fact, our dealings with RHK were more than satisfactory at all times. The venue will remain high on our hit list for future concerts if circumstances allow. The Royal Hospital itself was looking splendid in the beautiful May sunshine, and people were delighted with the entire experience.

Very many thanks for all your help."

"All involved were very happy with the way the Inaugural Better Building event turned out and there were compliments all round for the RHK as a venue.

All your staff were a pleasure to deal with.

If we have any events that we feel would suit your venue in the future we will be straight back on to you."

Victor Dunne
Organiser of Better Building Conference

"The event was very successful from our perspective and we have received only positive feedback from participants and speakers alike. The arrangements on the day were superb as was the cooperation from all involved. I would particularly like to thank you and your colleagues at RHK for your support and assistance over the past six months, culminating on the day. It would not have been possible to achieve the positive outcome without this support."

"The Gala Dinner in the RHK exceeded my expectations. Not only the venue is beautiful, but the service provided by you and by Fitzers was excellent. I hope I can bring another group to Dublin soon and work with you again. Thank you again for everything."

"Enterprise Ireland organised an event hosted by An Taoiseach at the RHK, where we had the honour of receiving Vice President Xi Jinping from China.

The event was a resounding success and its impact on our relationship with China should not be underestimated. The venue was perfect and Catherine O’Byrne and her team could not have been more helpful and accommodating. They certainly went the “extra mile”.

Enterprise Ireland organises hundreds of global events annually and this was up there with the best of them, thank again to Catherine."

"In our business choosing the right venue is critical. The Royal Hospital Kilmainham is one of the best venues that Dublin has to offer. Over the years we have operated many different events in RHK; and all have been hugely successful. It is a pleasure to work with Catherine O’Byrne and her team."

"Barnardos Spirit of Christmas was held in the Royal Hospital Kilmainham.  The attention to detail, care, responsiveness and star service shown to us from the moment we booked our event in the Royal Hospital Kilmainham was phenomenal, it seemed as if nothing was too much trouble.  All the staff provided a high level of service over the celebrations to us and our guests.  We look forward to returning to the Royal Hospital Kilmainham in the future."

"I would like to say what a great success our MISSOC Meeting and Gala Dinner was.  The RHK looked splendid on the evening of the Gala Dinner and was much appreciated by all the guests who attended.

I would particular like to thank Catherine O’Byrne for all her help and also the very professional manner in which the meeting room was set up and the courtesy and good humour of all the RHK staff during the two days."

"The 02 Event was an outstanding success due in no small part to the excellent co-operation and assistance we received in the planning stages combined with the professional and efficient support by RHK staff  at the event itself.

EuroEvents work in many venues in Dublin and countrywide and I can say without hesitation that the RHK team is second to none.

We will continuously recommend the RHK to our clients and we look forward to working with Catherine O’Byrne again."

"Just to say a huge thanks for last night.  Everything ran very smoothly and to schedule and Catherine you were a brilliant help on the night (if only we could steal you for any of the other venues we’ve worked with). Everyone commented particularly on the beautiful venue, it’s a credit to you."

"May we take this opportunity to express our sincere thanks to you and the conference team at the Royal Hospital Kilmainham for their efforts and assistance with our recent 10th Anniversary Conference.  From feedback received, the event was considered very successful and the co-operation of the RHK staff greatly contributed to this.  In the words of one of our delegates, the RHK was ‘absolutely beautiful’. We were more than happy with the RHK as a venue for our conference. Once again, many thanks to all the staff at the RHK."

"It was a very good experience working with the RHK team. Catherine O' Byrne and all her colleagues were wonderful.....the ambience, historic surroundings, the grounds, and ease of movement even though the opening of the Forum on End of Life in Ireland attracted over 350 people, made for a wonderful day. Participants were delighted and many remarked on the grandeur and flexibility of the facility. We expect that first-time visitors will want to come back to visit the gardens and the museum."

"It was fantastic on Saturday night and thank you so much for everything.  The venue added so much to the occasion, everyone is buzzing about it.  You and your team were great too.  Thanks again for all your hard work."

"The Jack & Jill Children’s Foundation is a registered charity supporting families of children with severe neurological conditions and life limiting illnesses. Each year we host a Family Day at the Royal Hospital Kilmainham.

It is the one day of the year where parents meet other parents in a similar situation to their own, it is also a great day out for the healthy siblings of our babies and for many it is the only family day out they get each year, as all the special needs of the babies are catered for. With magic shows, bouncy castles face painters and much more the day has always proved a great success.

Of course none of this would be possible without the help of Catherine O’Byrne – Event Manager and the OPW who are always welcoming and helpful.  They go out of their way to make our families feel at home – nothing is ever too much trouble.

The venue itself is perfect for our families, allowing space for them to wonder at their leisure in a stress free environment.

For many years we have formed a great relationship with Catherine and the team and look forward to yet another year of organising our day of fun."

"The Royal Hospital Kilmainham is our preferred location for large meetings because it has all the functional things one might look for in a venue; close transport links; ample parking; a spacious main meeting hall with smaller breakout rooms and lunch space.  It also has the added element of a wonderful historic environment, not to mention the friendly, courteous, helpful conference staff who always ensure the day runs as smoothly as possible."

"MCI Ovation has managed a very wide range of events in the Royal Hospital Kilmainham ranging for gala dinners for 100 guests to large scale parties of 1000 guests. The flexibility of the venue is second to none, we have also found the venue to be very cost effective as minimal decor due to the fact that the venue is so well kept and its existing unique features.

The standard of service is one of the highest in the country."
Mark Egan

"I have worked with the Royal Hospital Kilmainhan for a number of years and its versatility as a location for all type of events from business focused conferences to a sparkling location for a gala dinner, makes it a very unique venue in Dublin. Catherine O’Byrne and her team could not be more helpful in dealing with all requests and questions for planning of an event and are always onsite to ensure the smooth running on the day."
Sinead Marrinan

"Feedback from the team on the event at the Royal Hospital Kilmainham was very positive. All - without exception - were delighted with the venue and especially with the co-operation, efficiency and courtesy they received from you personally. The event itself was all about our RNLI volunteers and the quality of the venue added considerably to their enjoyment of the day."

"What we heard was absolutely right - you’re very professional, efficient and a joy to work with.  The RHK is a wonderful venue and delegates expressed their resounding appreciation of it on their evaluation forms."

"The venue was a huge hit with our guests. The Baroque Chapel was stunning for our champagne reception, the stained glass windows drew many admiring comments and when the doors to the Great Hall opened there was a huge WOW factor. The feedback from some people was that our ball was preferred to other balls because our venue was better. One such lady, a regular ball attendee, pronounced that the RHK blew her mind. She felt that the popular hotels around town lack originality and authenticity which the RHK has in bucket loads."

"Never had we an event which went so well and I would like to congratulate Catherine O’Byrne and her staff for their friendliness, courtesy and professionalism.

I realise that an event like this looks easy but this easiness does not happen by accident and it obviously comes from an organisation which is well run and a team which has pride in the service it provides.

Well done and thank you!"
